Built to be shared

The report is designed to be forwarded — to an adult child who wasn't at the visit, to a contractor getting a bid, or to a care coordinator building a plan. One link, any device, no account needed.

Prioritized, not overwhelming

Families often fear the assessment will surface a flood of problems with no clear order. The priority structure ensures you always know what matters most right now vs. what can wait.

Delivered within 5–7 business days

Not weeks. We know families are often acting on urgency — a recent fall, a hospital discharge, a parent moving back in — and the report reflects that.

Common Questions

What families usually ask.

How long does the visit take?

Typically 1–2 hours depending on the size of the home and the number of findings. We don't rush — every area gets a thorough look.

Does the senior need to be home?

It's helpful if they are — they can point out areas of concern and the visit often surfaces conversations worth having. But it's not required. An adult child can be present in their place.

Do we need to prepare anything?

No preparation needed. Just ensure all areas of the home are accessible — including garage, exterior areas, and any locked spaces like a basement storage room.

What happens after the report?

The report includes prioritized recommendations for every finding. For families who want help acting on them, we can recommend vetted local contractors and, optionally, coordinate the work.

Is this covered by insurance?

In most cases, no — this is a private-pay service. Some long-term care insurance policies may cover it; we recommend checking with your provider. We provide a receipt suitable for reimbursement requests.

What's the difference between this and the Long-Term Home Assessment?

The Home Safety Assessment is reactive — it evaluates what's present today and what's hazardous. The Long-Term Home Assessment is proactive — it looks at how the home needs to evolve over years, and includes a coordinated licensed home inspection. Learn more →
